Here’s a fabulous travel guide and some snaps for any of you thinking of spending 24 Hours in Beaumaris, Angelsey- Wales.
Stroll along the waterfront: Beaumaris is a historic town (originally a Viking settlement) located on the eastern entrance to the Menai Strait, the waterway that separates Angelsey from the mainland coast of North Wales. A stroll along the beach is a great way to enjoy the breathtaking view out to sea. 
Red Boat Ice Cream Shop: Take a moment to indulge in an ice cream at the Red Boat Ice Cream Shop. I’d recommend the Toblerone flavour or strawberries and cream, they also offer a gluten-free ice cream cone- WIN!
Beaumaris Castle: The town dates back to 1295 when Edward I of England, having conquered Wales, commissioned the building of Beaumaris Castle. The Castle was built on marshland and that’s’ when the French builders called it “beaux marais” and thus the town name was coined “beautiful marshes” We lucked out as during our visit the castle was holding a Medieval Festival, how could we resist? The castle was bustling with larpers (live action role play), dragons, jesters, wenches and traditional Welsh folk music. The views from on top of the castle walls across the bay are phenomenal.
Fish & Chips at Neptune Bistro: A seaside necessity! Head to the fish and chip shop for lunch, if it’s not too windy eat them on the seafront. I can officially confirm Neptune Bistro serve up excellent fish and chips (we ended up visiting them twice over our bank holiday weekend!)
Hike over the cliffs: Round the back of the castle there’s a stretch of hilltop to take a hike over the cliffs and get some serious sea air, do be careful thought the cliff edge is pretty scary, look out for the cows too. 
Sail to Puffin Island: Take a boat ride out to the famous ‘Puffin Island’ where if you’re lucky you’ll get to see a rare puffin nesting on the island. If like us you just missed the puffin season you’ll get a fabulous view of the coastline, see the lighthouse up close and spot seals and porpoise too! 
Dinner at the Liverpool Arms: If it’s a Sunday, go for a Sunday Roast (you may need to book in advance though) I ordered the Welsh lamb and it was fan-dabby-dossey! 
The main high street in Beaumaris is bursting with inviting Tea Rooms, boutique shops, a butchers, bakers and a candle shop, well gift shop with candles, the occasional pop up market and who knows you may even get to hold a tiny owl >SQUEAL<. Beaumaris is such a perfectly formed town packed with historical charm, picture perfect views, surrounded by spectacular nature.
