The winter weather can play havoc with curly hair. The rain, heating, wind and being forced to use a hair dryer to avoid hypothermia are not a great combination. Recently, I’ve been trying out the new Faith In Nature Hair Masks from the Ethical Superstore and thought I’d share my experiences with you.
At the Ethical Superstore they work hard at stocking products that protect our planet, offering eco-friendly alternatives to everyday like vegan beauty products, fair-trade food, non-toxic cosmetics and cleaners that do as little harm to the environment as possible. I’m a big fan of the Ethical Superstore and usually stock up on their refill bottles of household cleaning products like washing up liquid and floor cleaner every few months. They stock a great range of environmentally friendly lifestyle products, including the lovely Faith In Nature range.
Faith In Nature Hair Mask
My hair has a tendency to get dry and frizzy, throughout all the seasons, but winter is particularly tough. So, I was happy to try out the Faith In Nature range of hair masks.
The Shea and Argan Nourishing Hair Mask smells incredible. It’s rich and intensely hydrating, I found it to be a lovely treat for when my hair feels dry. You simply apply the Hair Mask like a regular conditioner and leave it on your hair while you soak in the tub. After you rinse, you can feel the improved moisture and hydration. To make it even better, it’s made using all natural ingredients of fair-trade shea butter and argan extracts to nourish and detangle your hair leaving it super soft.
Vegan
The Faith In Nature products are suitable for vegans and vegetarians. Certified cruelty free and free from animal testing, they’re biodegradable, organic formula is free from parabens and synthetic nasties, GMOs, chlorine, bleach and ammonia, so no need to worry about any toxic grossness.
Recycled Packaging
If you’re like me and trying to avoid unnecessary carbon, you’ll be pleased to hear that Faith In Nature make their range here in the UK. So, the time in transit is greatly reduced, meaning a reduced carbon footprint all round. Win. The Hair Masks come in fully recycled and fully recyclable packaging too.
The other Faith In Nature Hair Mask that I have tried is the Wild Rose & Chamomile. I’m not usually a great lover of rose scented products, but this hair mask only has a gentle fragrance, so is not too overpowering. It’s advertised that this vegan hair mask is perfect for those with dry to normal hair to add moisture and provide nourishment leaving your hair feeling silky soft and manageable and smelling delightful. I would 100% agree with this. The only warning I would give is not to use too much. If you apply too much your hair can feel a little too hydrated! Made using 100% natural organic rosehip and chamomile essential oils this hair treatment is not only kind to your hair but also the planet.
“Life is short. You might as well live it with really great hair.”
Stay fabulous
Christine
